Can the lot where the giant plant is be changed or replaced? Or will this break the game?

It's been a while but let me see if I remember...
The most important thing is that everybody sticks together.
First set everybody to Strangerville aspiration. Think up an 'order'. After setting everybody's aspiration, first of all, go as a group. Everybody examines the steel door, one after the other.
Assembling the Dossier is the hardest part. However, evidence regenerates. Sims can place bugs all over the place, and you have infinite bugs. Soon everybody will have a dossier. This is vital - you must wait until EVERYBODY has a dossier. Purchase your key - only one key is needed - and most importantly, ALL TOGETHER, open the sealed door, and ALL TOGETHER walk in. The spores are released. Share the key if needed to open and close it. Doesn't matter - the spores are released, the door is open and you are ALL ON THE SAME STAGE.
Now remember this - You can reuse and share the key, scanner, suit and mixing devices. There are more spores than you need. There are more Sims than you need. Your recruits can be your family. Apart from the Dossier, it is not the ACQUIRING of these items, but the USE of them.
Get everybody onto the Defeat The Plant step. This can be done pretty fast.
Finally, defeat the plant. You must revive it. But DO NOT RESET THE STORY.
You can now fight and revive it again and again, one after the other.
While it takes a little longer, remember this - a Sim's aspiration steps do not regress. Not even those of a Story aspiration.
