@elanorbreton Can I ask you something about customizing the police station? When I edited mine for an Oldwest save, the chief forgot where he was supposed to sit and wandered around. Some days he didn't even come to work. So now I don't touch that room anymore (the rest of the place works fine). Is there a specific chair/desk combination that we have to use or is there something else that I should keep in mind when designing the chief's office?

@EnkiSchmidt sorry, but when I edited mine I left the chief's room as it was. I edited the interrogation room, added a room with a safe and did the upstairs, nothing else.

@elanorbreton Okay, then I'll leave that office alone, too. (Often when doing makeovers I found that changing floors and wallpapers already makes a big difference, anyway).

I learned how to have four Sims go through the Strangerville quest at the same time.

It's been a while but let me see if I remember...

The most important thing is that everybody sticks together.

First set everybody to Strangerville aspiration. Think up an 'order'. After setting everybody's aspiration, first of all, go as a group. Everybody examines the steel door, one after the other.

Assembling the Dossier is the hardest part. However, evidence regenerates. Sims can place bugs all over the place, and you have infinite bugs. Soon everybody will have a dossier. This is vital - you must wait until EVERYBODY has a dossier. Purchase your key - only one key is needed - and most importantly, ALL TOGETHER, open the sealed door, and ALL TOGETHER walk in. The spores are released. Share the key if needed to open and close it. Doesn't matter - the spores are released, the door is open and you are ALL ON THE SAME STAGE.

Now remember this - You can reuse and share the key, scanner, suit and mixing devices. There are more spores than you need. There are more Sims than you need. Your recruits can be your family. Apart from the Dossier, it is not the ACQUIRING of these items, but the USE of them.

Get everybody onto the Defeat The Plant step. This can be done pretty fast.

Finally, defeat the plant. You must revive it. But DO NOT RESET THE STORY.

You can now fight and revive it again and again, one after the other.

While it takes a little longer, remember this - a Sim's aspiration steps do not regress. Not even those of a Story aspiration.

Last month or so I placed in my game a new police station from the gallery. The Chief won’t show up now. So I have to figure out what’s wrong. ?

Same problem I'm dealing with.

Maybe it comes down to the Chief's favorite chair … There's a line in one of the Original Star Trek movies where Kirk, in the newly redesigned Enterprise is sitting at the Conn. Both hands on the arms of this chair, he wiggles side-to-side, frowns and says, "I miss my old chair."
