Strawberries

Anymore, I just use MCCC to select the desired gender. I know, not everybody likes mods in their game. I was scared to death of them in Sims2. I never used Boolprop, for instance. But Sims3 needed help. I started off with Twallen's Travel mod and from there ended up with close to 20 mods just to get the game to run fairly smoothly. Oi!

You could also adjust gender in CAS after birth, must wait until toddler stage, though.

Granite Falls has some wild strawberry plants too. And carrots, in case you have twins.

Do I need seasons to have strawberries? I've opened 100 starter fruit packets and not 1 strawberry

If you don't have seasons, they should be harvestable all the time, right? There should be plenty of strawberry plants around Willow Creek. Try the park or around the library/gym area. I've found lots of them there, along with other plants/collectibles. Or go to Oasis Springs, anywhere really, but at least around where Johnny Zest lives. There's also a community garden there, but I don't remember what kind of plants they have.
