Stuff Packs- Laundry Day, Bowling Night or Movie Hangout?

I personally loooove Movie Hangout the most, but Bowling is good too, especially in terms of stuff you can do as a family.

Personally, I'm most here for movie night. I like the build items better, and watching movies adds a little extra element that also fits in well and isn't disruptive to my game. Bowling has some cool CAS stuff, but I rarely end up actually bowling with my sims--it's kinda just another "group game" that takes quite a while and isn't that unique or super fun for me. And I still haven't bought laundry cause none of the CAS or build items are really my style, and I don't really get how doing laundry in the game is at all fun? Others might feel differently, but i've yet to see a post that really convinces me of the fun value of laundry lol.

Laundry Day is the best quality back all round, especially for realistic gameplay.
Movie hangout’s features are a bit pointless and stuff is very wild
Bowling night is cool but the bowling alleys are to big. The clothing and build stuff is nice tho

From those my favourites are laundry day and movie hangout. I almost don't use bowling stuff. But i'ld consider vintage glamour too. It has the butler and a few items that i love, as the vanity table and the globe bar.

Considering your play style, I'd suggest Laundry Day as the front runner. Realistic players seem to get a sense of completion in their households with the addition of laundry. The pack also has washtubs and drying lines, so there is more than one way to do laundry. My favorite thing about the pack is the build/buy. It's a shabby chic style and there are some really awesome decorative pieces and furniture in there. This is probably one of the most packed Stuff packs out there.

Second, I would suggest Movie Hangout. If you like bohemian styles, a lot of the build/buy and CAS is in that style, very colorful and with an almost hand painted look. There are a lot of movies to watch on the new giant screens (and are added to all in-game TVs) which are fun. My favorite piece is the big tree with the lanterns hanging from it. I love that tree.

Of course, if you really like bowling or need a new activity, then you might want this. The style is mid-century modern and there are a lot of retro fashions in CAS, which was my own main reason for buying the pack. The hair and clothing has some 50s styles that I love. But I'm generally "meh" about bowling.

DEFINITELY Laundry Day! It's realistic, comes with great things, and makes everything good!

Movie Hangout just might be my favorite stuff pack. I think the boho aesthetic is so fun, and the objects coordinate really well with stuff from City Living. Different sims will like different movies based on their personality and traits, which is neat. There is an outdoor screen which is really cool for a movie night outside.
I finally bought bowling night for my birthday last month, and I don't regret it! The CAS outfits and hairstyles are cool, and I like the mid-century modern design of the buy/buildmode items. If you don't usually build, it comes with some pre-made bowling lots that are great already. Also, since you're more of a family/realistic player, you might like this one the best. Not only is bowling a family activity, but it's also an activity that your sims can build skill in. As they get better, their form improves with some cool moves they do. Not sure of all the social features included in this stuff pack yet, but if you have Get Together, you could also create a bowling club. :)
I also got Laundry Day at the same time as Bowling Night. I never have been super fascinated with my sims doing laundry, but it is an aspect of family play that you might like. I do like the rustic look and the household clutter it comes with, but to be quite honest, I mainly got it because of the pretty, large box window it comes with! haha!

(You're right about the vanities, they're one of my favorite items. Worth considering.)

It's funny because while it pains me to do laundry in real life, I kind of really like my sims doing it and I can't exactly pinpoint why lol. It's like a little fun extra challenge to their everyday life. Both with realistic play and with something more out of the ordinary. I forget about until suddenly there's piles of dirty clothes on the floor and I have to make them tackle them and not forget to clean the lint tray lest they cause a fire, which is a risk I enjoy. And when I play off the grid, I like them having that one extra difficulty to deal with.

Though it really depends. Bowling is not activity I enjoy in real life either and it translated into the game, too. I never take my sims bowling.

Laundry Day adds realistic gameplay,

Movie Hangout is nice but you can’t build a movie theater and it’s not that often my sims can afford a home cinema In their house.

Bowling Night is cool, I like it but sims take forever to go and throw their bowl when it’s their turn, they just stay there talking to other sims and it’s rather annoying.

Type it in 'notepad' or something first. I had to get into the habit of doing that after writing long detailed stuff, then suddenly hit the wrong key, or who knows, it's gone.

@moo If mainly a family player, then I would suggest "Laundry Day". I haven't used it at all yet, but it looks like fun for at-home family stuff. Like cooking, dishes, cleaning, it adds to that with bonuses or negatives depending on how you handle it. Like clean cloths gives happy and comfortable bonuses. Dirty laundry all over the place obviously doesn't. ;)
