I don't mind kits but I would just prefer more content for $5 especially for recent kits like Everyday Clutter and Basement Treasures. I feel we should get 45 to 50 items a kit instead of the usual no more than around 25-30 items. That's why some simmers feel the kits should be cheaper than they are. The stuff packs added some gameplay. I feel they don't like to animate stuff anymore. It took simmers to take items from Everyday Clutter and put animation on them. I wish the dumbbells were usable and we didn't have to use a mod. Then I saw all the nice exercise equipment that Life By You will have. So envious for my sims. I wanted them to have a stationary exercise bike. We have the bodybuilder career but no weights. That would be a nice stuff pack but we already have fitness stuff.
Think about it though, what can you get for $5 any more? Even a soda at most fast food places are $3 or so anymore. I do think however stuff packs brought a lot more excitement even with a higher price because it had something for everyone, builders, players, sim creators….
I kind of think they may be focusing more on kits because I’m sure game play items cause more bugs than kit pack items do, and with so many packs in the sims 4 now, that can be a problem.
