Sudden Glimmerstone in Inventory, wheres it come from???

Only just got back into playing the sims past few days and today I notice that my none witch custom made sim suddenly had a Glimmerstone in his inventory. No clue where its come from. He's currently fishing a lot and knowing what you can fish out ot the rivers etc made me think it could be from there but it didnt show up in notifications. I also jump in the exotic pool and play with the sprites so thought that might be it too. But honestly have no clue, and had to google to find out what it even is lol. Can you get them from dig collectible patches etc? So was wondering anyone have any ideas???
  • Do your Sims have a cauldron on their lot? I had a Sim who hadn't visited the Magic Realm, wasn't a spellcaster and lived alone buy one to make Mac & Cheese. Almost immediately after it was bought and placed, a glimmerstone showed up in their inventory.
  • Well there ya go. I bet that's why they got the glimmerstone. The game must mistakenly think since they have a cauldron now, they'll soon be a spellcaster and need it. Ideally, they shouldn't get the glimmerstone until they are an official spellcaster. This is most undoubtedly a bug.

Thank you, I do have a cauldron and they did make some mac & cheese in it so you have indeed cleared up this mystery. Thanks again.
  • @Kaci_Rose You're welcome, glad I could help! In my case I just kept the glimmerstone since the Sim I was playing was intended to eventually be a spellcaster anyway. But like mentioned, you can just destroy it if you wish. Doesn't hurt anything to keep it either. Have a great rest of your week everyone and...

    Happy Simming! <3
  • Honestly, that's weird. I haven't heard of being able to get those outside of being a Spellcaster. I know that you can destroy them as a Spellcaster, and I THINK there's a way to get another? But I don't know how of the top of my head.

  • Jackiejoy, Nope no switching households, i made 2 plain jane sims to play and have been for the past few days. Haven't been to any new "worlds" or anything yet either.

SeaDragonSong I googled it and it said to ask one of 3 sages for one if you destroy it and are a spellcaster. Which i'm not and haven't asked for one from anybody either. So weird not sure what i can even do with it as the only option when i click on it is to destroy it lol.
  • Jackiejoy i do dig yeah so maybe it came from there but it never showed up in notifications that i dug it up. And fish do seem to be kinda weird to dig up lol.

drakharis nope no mods or custom content. just the base game and all the "packs".

I had a glimmerstone show up in a non-magical sims inventory too. His wife is a spellcaster but he is not. I did send him fishing at one point but I'm not sure if that is related. I just had him destroy it as he couldn't do anything else with it.
