The Sentiment tuning isn't used for anything else but sentiments.
It's playstyle related, though.
I found the friendly introduction from parenthood to be one of the worst culprits.
@83bienchen The Friendly and Cheerful Introductions are the ones I almost always use when I'm playing a Sim with an engaging, well...friendly personality. I'm sure I had him use one of those with the cute dog walker. Oh, well. I like the "love at first sight" angle for this story. I wonder if it will strike again.
