Recently, this family of Sims I've been playing for generations have been plagued with alien abductions, and it's getting a bit annoying. I don't want my Sims to get abducted, and I don't want my Sims getting impregnated with alien babies (even though they are quite cute). I don't understand why this is happening to my Sims recently, because I've been playing these generation of Sims for ages and had nothing like this until recently. I did have a Sim who was in the Astronaut career, and once she travelled to Sixam. I have a feeling the alien abductions started around then. Does anyone have any suggestions about what might be going on? Is this just random?P.S. My Sims haven't moved lots since my Astronaut Sim moved in (she died a long time ago), as I'm waiting for my two male Sims (one of whom got abducted and impregnated) to finish university and then move them somewhere else.

I have had a ton lately too. I figured maybe it's because my sim maxed rocket science.. You can cancel the abduction though by clicking on the action same as you'd cancel eating or something so that's what I do every time and then they immediately return home and so far no pregnancy

They might have increased the possibility in the patch because Occult players have been upset that they've become too rare.Dare I hope? I do believe that going to Sixam and pursuing Aliens as well as higher levels of the Science career are supposed to increase Alien activity but I'm not certain.

It just makes a sound like I'm clicking on it but it doesn't X out. Gosh, I haven't had a rash of abductions in ages. I'd settle for just one at this point in time. It's a fun quirky aspect of the game.

That could be it too. I don't like to play aliens, but my Sim has been to Sixam and that's when I noticed the increase as well.

I didn't get much chance to play yesterday but am curious now. Before the patch, I was getting an abduction almost weekly in Sims weeks. One of my aliens was abducted twice and came back pregnant both times.

I have a sim in the science career who has been to sixam and befriended aliens.

I've had this happen especially after my parent sims have increased their logic and rocket science skill by helping the kids with their science projects. Two different households too. And this was before the patch so maybe your sims have increased one of those skills perchance and that may be contributing to it?
