I hope Island Living gets a revamp, though it’s probably unlikely. There were a lot of things missing from Polynesian culture that should’ve been added, and as a Polynesian girl myself, I was a bit disappointed. Hula dancing has been mentioned. We tell stories through music and dance so it’s a shame they didn’t include it and a ukulele skill. I wish there was more island food included too! Something that I found fun was that it introduced marine biologist and conversation career to the sims. I especially like this because my aunty is from the Cook Islands and is a marine biologist and conservationist! Not related to your post but I remembered it as I was typing.
I think mermaids should’ve had the ability to explore underwater. I am happy that mermaids were included in the pack though I wish they were more fleshed out like other occults. where are my water magic powers?
Admittedly, I was a bit confused when you said that you were disappointed with island living being about Polynesian culture, given that Hawaii is the number one island holiday destination. But I ultimately get what you mean. Caribbean culture is island living too so hopefully it is explored with a hotel EP

Well lemme tell you a story of how I gone through the times of wanting six music genres related to my culture, OK? So back in the umm... old year of 2019, right? The year of 2019 after I put three checkmarks right next to first three radio stations from Bowling Night Stuff, Jungle Adventure, and base game (Originally from Get Famous), I was on Twitter, and I saw the post from TheSimCommunity's fan account saying "Expansion Pack 7 is coming this summer 2019", and I started speculating my predictions for the upcoming EP7 with the title "Tropical Paradise" with all of my wishes related to my culture which is "Caribbean". But before I'm ready to get my radio station wishlist to be completed, the last and final radio station wishlist I wanted is reggae; a music genre that is popular in Jamaica in the late 1960s. Reggae station has been request by me since it recently came with The Sims 2: Bon Voyage EP, and was replaced with Beach Party from The Sims 3: Island Paradise EP with elements of reggae, dancehall, Caribbean folk, and dance-pop music.
After June 2019 come out, EP7 was titled "Island Living" which is a pack centered around Hawaiian/Polynesian culture which is why nobody doesn't wanna celebrate National Caribbean-American Heritage Month like I celebrate it, because my family are of Caribbean descent. So when I was upset, I've been begging for a reggae station with Caribbean cultural features such as foods for a longtime after The Sims team recently gave us only Caribbean-inspired CAS and build/buy items.
So back in 2023, I added soul station on my wishlist as a 4th wish, and then put a checkmark right next to it, as well as R&B station; a radio station requested by me. So after that, I have to continue to stay strong to manifest reggae radio station to be the sixth and final one, it didn't add it to the base game right before releasing Poolside Splash Kit and then June 2024. Now that it is currently 2025, and if a fairies pack is gonna end up not being a game pack, my hope will permanently lost for good and never wanna get my six-station wishlist completed, I'm so sorry!
Now you see, Island Living recently focuses on Polynesian/Hawaiian cultures with words and name in Polynesian/Hawaiian languages instead of Caribbean. As long as I have to stay strong and alive, there will be hope for a kit, an update patch, or an SDX drop centered around Caribbean cultures.
