Neither of these theories, however, account for the lack of patches. It’s apparent that the game has A LOT of bugs, ranging from “minor cosmetic” to “tear-your-hair-out game breaking”, so an explanation for the patch drought when there is such an outcry still eludes me. I do hope that they don’t start to only release patches when they have new content (free or paid) to follow.
Just because there's one or two months without a patch, doesn't mean there's a sudden "obvious" lack of patches. And just because some bugs weren't fixed, doesn't mean they're not fixing any at all. In fact, we just had two patches in February, two in December, and even two in November. So yes, okay, they skipped January and they're gonna skip March but the last patch we got has been released only two weeks ago and there's more than likely another one coming in April. And you know ... someone's always gonna be unhappy, because new patch = waiting for mods to be updated, and even though I don't use any myself, I can imagine that must be quite annoying for those that do. And those simmers, for example, might appreciate sometimes going 4 weeks without having to patch anything. One month isn't a dramatic event, it's not even a trend. It's just a month. And, who knows, it might mean good things are coming in April :) Or not.
