3. Speaking of, and I think this is the big one: Grades are at least partly calculated from your skill level. Basically that means that if you apply to UNI in a course you don't have talent for you have a much harder time. 4. NEVER do more than three courses and one society per semester unless you want a horrible time. Also, unlike other activities the Sport Team one counts as an actual part time job and therefore takes as much time as a course. So if you want to be a soccer star, don't do more than TWO courses, the sport team and maybe a society.
Your third point is the most important of them, I think, especially since the deeper into a degree you are, the higher it seems to expect your skill to be.
One of my recent students did soccer plus three courses, graduated with honors and was top of the track. He had decent fitness from the start though (which is why he was on the team!). I do think trying to do a society on top of that would've been too much, but I find the societies pretty meh anyway.
