I've tried out the talent competition a few times now. I sign up, and perform when it's my turn. I've performed a stand-up number, a song, I've told jokes, but every time the event ends with a "A sham...

OK, so it's not something you win or lose? I'm just a bit confused, seems like I might as well just perform whenever, independent on whether it's an event or not.
