Talk Like A Pirate Day

I neither like or dislike it. I wouldn't say that it adds anything to the game.

I originally thought it was cute, but it comes round too often. Still it doesn't annoy me enough to mod it out.

I like it but then again, I don’t always use it in my game. Part of that stems from one family gaining an extra nooboo when I didn’t know that a particular phrase (that I can’t remember now) actually meant ‘try for baby’!

I just turn them off in the calendar.

Just make your Sims Woohoo and it technically counts as Talking like a Pirate. That's what I immediately do for the older Sims.

It's an important celebration in my game when the sims can be silly. I have a pirate ship in a bar lot on the beach and they get to swim up to the ship and play pirate after drinking those tropical drinks like lotta coccolata and virgin mojito.

It kind of depends if I’m in the mood for it I guess….. sometimes it’s annoying, other times it might be cute, like seeing a grandfather and grandchild interacting with it together.

Like many of the holidays that shows up automatically it can be a bit repetitive but I think they did a good job with it by recording new voice lines and they also changed the texts for some interactions.

I always cancel it in advance, as I do with prank day and the one where sims are meant to fight each other. Annoying waste of time.

That's interesting because the fighting one I find hilarious! I get annoyed with it sometimes but still some primal part of me starts chanting "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!"

But with Talk Like A Pirate, instead of Arr, I usually say Ugh.
