Yeah my sim befriended after 5-6 times.

It's possible to befriend The Monster Under The Bed, however it's difficult especially since it appears and disappears similarly to Ghost Sims.
I really wish they showed up on the Child Sim's relationship panel though.

No. I giive all my children double beds, because I find it annoying having them waking up every night and getting no sleep.

I had a hybrid alien (Jill Smith) spam talking to it (kept cancelling running to parents) and she managed to talk to it. Got a moodlet.
