I use the TS3 style conversation menu in my game. I don't like how the TS4 conversation menus are just all over the place. Make sure it is the chief, because some of them sit in his/her seat. Just sayin', because I did this at least once wondering why I couldn't 'talk to chief' again (had before) when I realized it wasn't a chief at all but a Sim who looked similar.
It should be under Friendly, (a specific command) Talk to Chief.
I was just going to say this. I always found it under "Friendly". However, I concur with another poster. The Chief isn't always very congenial. Usually she had a snide remark for my Sim. Didn't matter that my Sim had maxed out his Charisma, was good-looking, kind, or even amiable. She always had to cut him down to size. LOL (Maybe she was afraid she'd lose her position to him?)
