Teens weren't in Sims 1. If you mean child, I don't think they could live alone since they weren't in CAS, they had to be born ingame.
I think children could live alone in Sims 1 if all the adults on the lot died. I remember reading a story about a household consisting of three children. The biggest challenges were that they couldn't pay bills or cook. They dealt with bills by buying a bunch of random stuff and putting them out on the lawn for the repo man to possess when the bills were overdue. They made money from painting, ate snacks and fruitcakes from neighbors, and eventually saved up enough to buy a Servo to serve them free meals. :smile:
