It seems to me that the people it bothers are really just hung up on the height thing, and then conflating their hang up by bringing up anything else they can think of to point to as also being part of the issue. But if the height of teens wasn't the same as YA's I think you'd see very few people bringing it up.
Which is weird, because people reach their full height while they are still teens. It seems to me that a lot of the folks complaining actually want tweens, but don't realize that's what they want.
