I feel your pain. I was writing a SimLit and once I got through first gen's story and was starting on the second gen's, I just lost the inspiration to set up the scenes, add background Sims, and build lots. I really like including screenies that reflect what's happening in the story, and creating those screens really does end up feeling like work.
