I'm really really happy that this new GP isn't just "another boring vacation GP". I honestly don't like Outdoor Retreat at all and I think that family players or players who play "normal life" got enough new things during last year already(toddlers as a free update, parenthood, C&D etc). It was about a time for something fun, fresh and dangerous. This pack sure looks different from what we have so far in TS4. I love the new CAS that we saw on the teaser video and the new world looks amazing! I can't wait to make Sim Lara Croft and start doing amazing adventures with her. I also can't wait to cause misery to my Sims..Please don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against family players or people who like to play "normal life". I'm happy that they got packs that were fit for their gameplay last year but there are other players out there who would also wish to get packs that suit for their gameplay.

I like how they’re two completely different types of Vacations.A huge advantage with them offering Vacations via Game Packs in the long run.

I totally agree with you @jackjack_k I feel like Outdoor Retreat is for the players who want to take a vacation in a peaceful and cozy place. But this new GP looks like wild and fun. I wonder if this will be under the vactions or as a seperate world when it comes out. I guess we will know more once the second trailer comes out :sunglasses:

They are both different themes. One is camping the other is Jungle, but OR was also the first GP to come out and the first content to come out for TS4. Right now it can look like it doesn't bring that much compared to Jungle Adventures but Jungle Adventures is recycling a lot of coding that came with CL for the market and food stalls, they didn't have those assets before the EP team made them.

Still waiting to find out how big the world will be. I assume we'll find out in Thursday's Livestream.

If it's even just 10 lots big, it'll be twice the size of all the GP worlds so far. I'd love it if it were bigger than 5, because that's too small.

I definitely think that this GP is going to be more fun than Outdoor Retreat for sure.

Keep in mind that Outdoor Retreat was the first game pack they ever released--it was a new concept to try out. I think that it's great for socializing with your sims and having a vacation in nature. The herbalist skill was neat, as was finding new insects and such. I had fun trying to figure out where the hidden lot/NPC was.

Jungle Adventure has made me super excited--on the same level as Cats & Dogs did. Do I think it's a vast improvement from Outdoor Retreat? Yes. But as a first game pack, I still think Outdoor Retreat is a fun time (and less dangerous). :wink:
