So everyone loves this mod where the artwork of sims is more high def and realistic frankly I think it's ugly anyone else not a fan? I feel with how popular it is people seeing the actual art of Sims ...

The only ones I can think of are Reshade and the HQ mod. I am pretty familiar with Alpha cc which can give your sims and environment a realistic look but the mod you described I have no idea what it could be.
ETA: K-Hippie also has a texture pack for the worlds. If you use alpha it looks great.
