That Was Just Weird!

My Sim just became a Global Superstar and placed his tile on the Avenue of the Stars after he got back from Church. His family and fans were there to support him. He also had a nomination for Best Song pending. So immediately after his ceremony, he went back inside the PBP Studios got dressed in his best suit, gussied up and otherwise made ready for what could be his very first Best Song Accolade. This of course, would be the frosting on his cake, given the circumstances. The event began and about three awards were handed out. Then something I had never ever seen in the Show before happened. A B-Lister took the microphone and in a very shy manner began what could only be described as a Stand Up Comedy Act. Say, what? I waited her out just to see where this oddness was going. She finally surrendered the mic to the Host, who went on with the next category of awards. My Sim won! But even though I had a chance to click on the microphone to have him accept, the Host left the stand for a Nanosecond and then was speaking again. And speaking. And Speaking. And speaking. Essentially, she ran out the clock and declared the show over. My Sim was deprived of his Big Moment.

Now, I'm wondering what I should do? Should I exit without saving, since this was clearly a glitch or just see if he's got his award in his inventory? I've gone through many an Award Show, but this was takes the cake.
