The autonomous snow shoveling is quite literally driving me insane

I can't be the only one experiencing this: a sim is in the middle of a conversation and then takes off, runs five miles across the zone, and proceeds to shovel a random snow drift. What in the actual....

Exactly. If it actually did something I could understand it, but even then it doesn't justify sims running to the other end of the neighborhood to shovel a random spot.
