The Bella Goth Scandal

Well. In my game I have 6 other families where the mothers (all singles btw) being young adults, have a teenage daughter and a child son. Yes, all these 6 families units are built the same, apart from names and looks, and these are homeless townies (minus one as I scooped one of these families into my rotation) and got spawned around the first 3-4 months of me playing so this is not really a Bella Goth only thing. The game also spawned one family with one teenage son and the parents are both adults, so... Luck of the draw maybe.

I never played TS3 where they were the same age... in TS2 he was an elder and she wasn't, so I just assumed the ages in TS4 were based on that. At least I always assumed in TS2 that she was recently abducted and there was an age gap.

It has been offcially stated by Maxis that the The Sims 4 takes place in an alternate universe. So, it can't be compared to the previous iterations. I believe Bella's age compared to Cassandra's is just an oversight by the team.

Huh, I didn't notice. I haven't interacted much with Bella in Sims 4, and automatically assumed that she was an adult.

Well, she was abducted by aliens. If you travel far enough through space the people you left behind will age while aging seems to slow down for the person traveling.

I wouldn't try to pay too much attention to the storyline of the Goth family in the sims 4, my understanding about the sims 4 is just a setup if you would like to continue the drama between the Goth family and Caliente, if you play the sims 2 the Caliente family is part alien and Dina Calliente was married to Bella brother Michael Bachelor who was already dead in the sims 2 which is no clear answer about his death and who is not in the sims 4 game period. In the sims 2 Bella being abducted by aliens was a setup between Calliente sisters and Don Lothario. In the sims 2 Dina wanted money and Don also but we know he was also sleeping with both Calliiente sisters and Cassandra. Bella story have been rewritten too many times in the game, you can also get the real Bella back in the sims 2 by removing the death token because the fake Bella in the sims 2 is in strangetown.
