It just feels pointless to do things when there is no impact on the world or the sims. Even something like the Eco footprint feels like it doesn't impact the Sims' lives in any way. And the occasional "moodlet" just doesn't do it for me. I barely notice the moodlets and they also seem that change little in the gameplay.
As much as I love the graphics, the visuals, the worlds etc. many times I find myself not giving a woohoo about the Sims themselves.
