I hope they are as well done as the vampires. True. Previously we had two big expansions a year now it's a piece here and there and it feels like it takes forever. We only got a second vacation destination this year. I'd honestly rather have more eps and gps instead of sps. If they made a small pets go instead of the sp, I think it would have been better accepted.
Mmmaybe. I think the issue with MFP wasn't necessarily the size, it's that small pets weren't in a complete Pets expansion in the first place. It may have added insult to injury to charge $20 extra for small pets, rather than the $10 for MFP.
I refused to buy MFP, strictly on principle. The cat and dog animations are nice. However, as far as behaviors are concerned, I never considered them a fair trade compared to all what was missing from a typical Pets EP. But that's just me. ::shrug:: We're experiencing sort of the same thing again: Seasons with no beaches, still no lounge chairs, etc.
@Paigeisin5 I absolutely agree about Island Paradise. That EP was definitely a surprise and a game changer. So much of the content happened to be series firsts.
Seasons is definitely long-anticipated. It makes the Sims' world feel totally different. However, after backyard stuff, patio stuff, and romantic garden stuff (completely lacking in romance, btw), it started to feel like the entire outdoors of a home were being sold piecemeal.
What's next, Garage Stuff? Driveway Stuff? (Cars!) Curbside stuff? It's a little tedious the way that things are rolling out this time. I miss the days when the team picked a theme for an EP and then they proceeded to just cram it chock full of all sorts of goodies. Now, we typically get one big thing at a time along with more furniture and CAS assets.
Admittedly, that one thing is done well. However, activities, in general, continue to feel lacking because of the segmentation of the content. At this rate, TS4 won't be comparable to TS2 and TS3 for another decade, at least.
Yeah it wasn't, it was about the immediately selling a small pack that completed the ep. I'm just saying for me if they did it properly it would've been better.
I agree, as with seasons I was dying for the pets EP, but I played it like a day and I was so disappointed and left the game until the jungle pack came out. And it's not about them not being controllable since I rarely control my pets in Sims 3, the pets just didn't interest me enough and all the missing stuff. I love how pets could hunt and eat their catch in sims 3, found that out a few months ago while sims 4 pets brings presents and the whole bush obsession.
I agree that they are selling everything in pieces. It doesn't seem like their is pumpkin carving this time because it came in a SP so now for the full Halloween feel you need to spend $10 more. Then if summer is lacking in objects you are going to want the backyard packs or you won't have the slides. All in all sims 4 is so expensive. A SP comes with like 1 Premium piece so for an EP price you are getting 4 interact-able objects.
Yup sims 4 has so many CAS and hair stuff but feels like overcompensating for everything that isn't in game. Like the lack of different styled furniture. I was making a house the other day with a specific theme in mind and between looking for the right colors and style it is pretty annoying.
