I have pre-ordered L&D and planned only to work a half day Thursday. AND my 10 year old laptop dies on Tuesday! So Tuesday evening I spent over $1200 to get a new laptop (and using it now). I guess I can use it for other things besides the Sims. L&D better be really great!

Skip a whole night's sleep is the craziest I've done. Multiple times.
My hubby is the one who did a crazy thing, on my behalf. I was introduced to the Sims2 by our grown daughter. I could only play the game when she was able to bring over their gaming laptop, which wasn't very often. We went out to Staples one day, and he urged me to get the base game. I knew my laptop wasn't equipped to play games, but I shrugged and went and got a copy of it, reading the computer requirements. I told him and showed him, but he insisted we get it anyway. As he suggested once we got home, I tried to install it. Of course, it was a no-go. So, not long after this, I get a phone call from him from the office. He told me to keep an eye out for a delivery that was to happen in about three weeks' time.
The man had ordered up a Dell DDR-2 gaming rig for me. That rigged served me for a number of years. I even started playing Sims3 on it before it finally gave up the ghost. Enjoy your new rig.

When I was a kid I'd serve my dad some candies and beer so that he would install my new sims pack for me (I later learnt installing them is easy, should've done it by myself from the very beginning 👻)
