The towns my sims go to the most are Glimmerbrook, Henford-on-Bagley, Windenburg, and Mt. Komorebi. They happen to be my favorite worlds. I play Spellcaster sims, so that's why Glimmerbrook is featured in my TS4 stories. Henford-on-Bagley is one of the settings in my current story. It's a pretty town based on the British Countryside. Windenburg is also European. (I imagine Glimmerbrook to be located somewhere in Europe, close to Forgotten Hollow). Mt. Komorebi is sort of a vacation place, and also where most Asian sims live (others live in San Myshuno).
Forgotten Hollow, San Myshuno, Sulani, Brindleton Bay, Willow Creek, and Moonwood Mill are okay to visit. I like the look and feel of them, but I don't play in them as often as my favorite towns. Forgotten Hollow is a place for vampires, obviously. That's also where some evil spellcasters live, as they couldn't stand the good spellcasters. San Myshuno is a bustling Asian city with tourists from other countries. Sulani is a vacation destination with lots of mermaids. At times, I have newlywed sims go to Sulani for a few Sim days. Brindleton Bay has a "small town in Maine feel," but has more lots than other small worlds. As for Willow Creek, it has this nice historical feel.
My sims don't go to Evergreen Harbor, Britechester, Strangerville, Del Sol Valley, Magnolia Promenade, Oasis Springs, and Newcrest as much as the others I've mentioned. Evergreen Harbor does have some interesting backdrops for storytelling and poses, but that's about it. Britechester is an university town. I don't like Strangerville, but the mystery in that town is interesting. If I play in Del Sol Valley, it's usually when I'm playing a celebrity sim. Magnolia Promenade is a shopping district in all of my saves. Newcrest, I imagine, is just an extension of Magnolia Promenade and Willow Creek. Oasis Springs would most likely be close to Strangerville in terms of location.
Since I don't own My Wedding Stories, High School Years, Growing Together, Horse Ranch, and For Rent, my sims never go to Tartosa, Copperdale, San Sequoia, Chestnut Ridge, and Tomarang.
So, in short, there are TS4 worlds I love, others I like on some level, and others that aren't my cup of tea.
