Ok, I reduced my townies with the mcc but this shouldn't have an effect on selecting the winner. It's like the other festivals. I only join if I need them for an aspiration or to get harvestables like the cowberry from the spice market.
Really? IF that case that is annoying. In City Living at Karaoke night competitions, you actually see sims use the karaoke machine to join the competition and when the winner is announced it is either you are one of the sims that participated in that event...Looks like the festivals are really just random. In that same competition your skill matters. Where areas in here, I have seen people complaints of having highest quality products yet still loosing.
They really have to fix this.
