The Great Fruitcake Debate

Hehe, I love all sorts of cakes, including fruitcake. My mum's Christmas cake is something I look forward to every year. I didn't realise fruitcake had so many haters until I played TS4, although I am sure there are some bad recipes out there. Some of my sims hate it, but my main sim (and his family) loves it. He's an old-fashioned Brit like me, so I'm not surprised! :)

I'm in the 'depends what type of fruit cake you're talking about' camp.

I'm skeptical about there being such a thing as good fruitcake. lol! I confess that I despise that 'candied fruit' stuff they put in and a dislike the boozy fume burn from the long soak in brandy or whatever. Other than that, it's ok. lolol

I've never had fruitcake, at least not this type (I mean I've had plenty of cake with fruit in it, but that's not the same).
I have a surprisingly large amount of sims that like it.

I have vague memories of having had fruitcake once... I don't remember if I liked it or not. Having not had it since, I'm suspecting not, though "ew, gross" is a bit of an exaggeration.
Most of my sims hate it, to the point that I'll throw out whatever's left after the welcome wagon is done.

If my sim ever kept other sims prisoner in the basement, they would only be fed fruitcake... But I would never do that because I'm not that cruel.

No thank you! All my Sims get uncomfortable when they have it. And as for myself, I even had my wedding cake made with red velvet instead of the traditional fruitcake ?

Following from that i only ever had one sim hate cheese and ham sandwiches after eating that fruit cake. Seems like that fruitcake can cause some serious damage to taste buds, hehe.

I don't mind it, but I can't speak for my Sims. Some take to it, others don't.
