I was playing an 18th century game save. Took forever to find the right, long hair. Back then they didn't cut their hair. Teen girls were allowed to let some of their very long locks extend down their backs, but the adults twisted them into buns, mostly, and hid them under a white linen cap. For parties, the hairstyles were high on the top, with spirals at the temples and the length of the hair also in spirals down that back. Very difficult to find a decent replica. I know your pain.
