The Last Time This Happened I Did a Game Repair! Now, What Do I Do?
Up until just moments ago, after I did a game repair and a Game Folder Refresh a few days back, my Sim was not only able to have me join him at his acting career, but he could complete all of the scenes. Now, today he once again doesn't get the popup for me to either join or send alone. I checked the calendar and there isn't anything going that should prevent it. Not that I can see, anyway. I'm vexed to say the least. I haven't yet Patched, wanting to play my game with the mods I need. What on Earth am I to do now?
I'm leaning toward, removing my Mods folder, Patching the game, doing a Game Repair and Refresh — Then set up a TEST save, (once again, heavy sigh) just to see if the mods/cc I use are affected by the Patch. I made a copy of my Game Folder before I began to play, so my saves files are intact.
It's disheartening, though. I've been going through this since March. Erik just now has four of his six children. I'm not terribly satisfied, strangely. I'm not playing it quite like before, I guess. Rotation play is all well and good, but I had to roll back a few saves to find Erik with his albums and written songs intact. Today, it dawned on me that since I pulled him right after he'd graduated, that even though aging on is on for All, he's no longer the second oldest child in his family. And Kayleigh is younger than her triplet sisters. I took the time to fix that with MCCC. Then realized (as I often do, I went the wrong direction with the mathematics, so that the brothers were all younger than before. :open_mouth: )! So, I recalculated and made the rounds again. Saved, thought all would be well, but no. I can't join him on the set. This after all of my hard work to complete the tasks. He's on Excellent, too. I even exited without saving to try it again. Suddenly, it was 12:12PM, he was due on set at NOON. Oi! Again no notice, no popup, no opportunity to join. :'( Why did they choose Spa Day when obviously, Get Famous has some serious glitches?
Oh, please, if you have some advice to help me bail out this game save, don't be shy!
