The Marriage Pack

It comes with a pretty world, but I found it very little and not much to do there. I have yet to try and go back and play it after they fixed the weddings in a patch, but if it is fixed and you like a new pretty world I'd say it's worth it :)

If you’re looking for more romantic gameplay - No.

If you’re looking for pretty build/buy - Yes

If you want to arrange weddings and be flustered that they don’t do as you say. - Yes

I think it's totally worth it now. Most things actually work as advertised (without mod fixes) since the last patch. Definitely not worth it if you don't like to have weddings or do events though. At that point you'd be buying it just for the BB/CAS catalog and the World. In that case I'd say wait until its in the 50% off sales.

(not to talk of all the plumming drama, mess,bugs and glitches and performance issues you can make out of releasing one gp leaving bad taste in my mouth)

the thing is though I do have lot of use for the pack as I play lots with romance families weddings that stuff and it was theme ive always wanted in ts4

but also I'm rather underwhelmed by the gameplay

and it is as I feared another world pack instead of really focusing on the romance gameplay as I was hoping for you know it being wedding GP.

I just feel like focus of the pack was entirely misplaced from the moment they started making the world and cut down on people working on gameplay elements

because people who want it for the world don't really get any world specific gameplay anyway with this

and the people who want it for wedding gameplay again couldn't have it all due to world and aesthetics eating half the pack anyway

is it worth it?

well idk thats a tough question tbh
and I could see that for someone who doesn't do wedding in like 99% of their stories or have their sims couple dance eternally it might be kinda useless

but for me I don't think i could exactly just pretend this pack doesn't exist either

curse every little square of tartosa cause it keeps reminding me of worst bugs and glitches and drama and things i can't have cause it exists

I guess this pack is kind of like those "is it cake" things like if you were not expecting it to be just a cake then you'll be disappointed but if you actually wanted the cake fine

I wasn't excited about it in the first place and then it released broken (some stuff lingering, by the way) so altogether I consider it pretty meh. However, it does make weddings better, it's one promise. I do also like some of the smaller details like all the cake varieties and family gatherings. Tea set and world are also nice.

Yeah, you get a world with some nice lots. Only reason I bought it-more real estate, which means more sims I can put in my world. I could care less about the actual wedding stuff tbh...

Don't buy it until it goes on sale. That's my two cents.

Is it still not possible to have normal base game weddings if I buy Wedding Stories?

I have the pack and there are some things that I really like.

- the world
- making tea
- dancing
- cakes

- haven't tried a single wedding
- haven't looked at the flowers


Hm... I really wanted the world and all my need-to-have-mods were updated after the patch right after Tartosa came out so I jumped on it. Have no idea with the next pack that I like will be out and there are no guarantee that my favorite mods will be updated. For my part I am glad to have Tartosa but I fully expect to remain offline for quite some time.

Apparently, no.
It replaces base game weddings with the Wedding Stories wedding system.

(Correct me if I'm wrong)
