but they still do updates on it- They do, but the updates are likely to be few and far in between. There's a certain logic to all this. Why would EA waste time and resources on a game that's had it's run? Especially since they now have Sims 4 for PC and console, and now Sims Mobile to spend that on.

I guess your right still feel bad about sims 4 though- Did anyone ever actually complain about this?
I mean erratic does make more sense for what the trait does but come on this is just ridiculous. - Luckylunayre8 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yes people complained about it.
People will complain about anything. I'm not defending either side by the way. Personally it didn't bother me, but I'm sure some people who have struggled with mental illness are bothered by it. - It doesn't bother me at all either. And I still have Sims 3 installed on the very same PC that I'm playing Sims 4 on. So I'm not bothered about how Sims 3 isn't being update like how Sims 4 for PC and console and Sims Mobile is now.

I for one am glad they changed it. I know it's only a minor thing, but the insane trait always made me uncomfortable and like you said, erratic describes it better anyway. I don't know if they changed the workings of the trait at all, but it always sort of bothered me when traits of mental illness are used for comedy effect. It's not exactly pleasant when you relate to certain parts of that trait (whether it be apparently hearing voices, or having unpredictable mood swings etc) for that to be played for laughs or called "insane". It always felt very out of place in the sims.- I feel like today's world is where humor goes to die I guess pinky and the brain is not okay now to or the creeper or any insane cartoon
- I haven't actually taken a look to see if they had just changed the name of the trait, or if they had changed the way sims with that trait behave in the game. It's likely that they have just changed the name since it would be far more easier to do that instead of changing the way sims with that trait behave.
