After his pal Sergio left their shared house because he got married, Joaquin was left to fend for himself. He soon noticed he needed a new housemate to cover the costs. While he originally asked Travis Scott to take up the empty room, Joaquin soon found himself in love with Travis’ housemate Summer. Plans changed and Summer moved in with Joaquin. They’re now happily married, moved to a slightly nicer house and have two children, Autumn and August.
The thing that made Joaquin immediately like Summer was her cheerful friendliness. And the way she laughed about his, sometimes lame, jokes. Joaquin is now a well known musician, although he loves to crack a few jokes during his shows (and his lyrics can be rather riddled with puns). He is also the leader of the Spin Masters, and looking for new talent to join them. During the day, Joaquin likes to spend time with the kids and sing songs with and for them. He also loves to serenade Summer when he’s in a romantic mood.
Looking for more purpose in her life, Summer decided to become a doctor. While it has been hard and a lot of work, it does give her a lot of fulfilment. Being a mother comes very naturally to Summer and her favourite time is family breakfast (and bedtime stories, and playing dollhouse, and pretty much everything really). She loves how Joaquin brings so much fun and energy in her life, which she sometimes really needs with a job as serious as hers. Summer has very fond memories of when she first started dating Joaquin, he always knew how to make her laugh with his one-liners.
Having inherited her father’s love for music, Autumn is already quite the virtuoso. She loves playing her violin and is excited to be a member of Jenny Richards’ music club. Autumn also loves karaoke and especially when she can sing duets with her father. With her mother she often goes swimming or to the park to play pirate. She loves goofing out and making messes together with her little brother - but she doesn’t like having to clean them up.
One of August’s favourite things to do is make funny faces with his dad. He even likes doing flashcards (especially with Summer), because the adults have funny faces too. He also loves going to the park, whether it’s just with the family or on playdates with other toddlers. August would prefer to eat nothing but chicken nuggets, but he can appreciate a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich from time to time.
