The purpose of Newcrest was?

I liked Newcrest very much. It got me back into the game for several months. I had already completely deleted and rebuild the entire world twice before Newcrest came out, and I was thrilled I didn't have to waste the time evicting and demolishing everything before I could build. (Can't we PLEASE get a nuke from orbit button for our towns?!)

I have filled three Newcrest files before I got sick of the building issues and quit playing again. I do wish it looked different from the other end of town, with different trees and build items available.
