The purpose of Newcrest was?

The Sims 4 itself was rushed, so it made very limited space for players to actually build houses on and stuff like that. So, they needed to give us more space. It's actually pretty pathetic, especially since every "neighborhood" within the world itself are the same layouts as the ones in Willow Creek.
