The reason simmers welcolme other life simulator games.

I want to start by saying.I do not hate Sims 4.I like the game, but I will say the game is disappointing as a fourth installment in the franchise.EA became gimicky, and focus more on appearence.Than revouloutionary game play.
I love the sims, and life simulator games in general.I have a lot of farm games on my pc.Still nothing like the sims.Ea had no competition.I think competition is a good thing. It for one gives me more variety. Also it makes Ea put more effort in their products.

I’d actually like an artstyle like that for Sims. Stylized yet amazingly realistic in a good way. I’d love that for the sims (the characters) as well.

Yeah the characters are pretty fun. I like that they have a lot of character to them and aren't all perfect.

I think stylized yet realistic would fit the Sims series well because that is what the Sims is, is the perfect balance between fantasy and reality. I do appreciate how Sims 3 tried this approach at least. I know Sims Medieval graphics were pretty amazing and detailed too. Really nice character design with that side game.

I believe the CAS system of Sims 4 was actually in the hands of the same person who did Medieval? That system is absolutely great (it’s much easier to create totally different types of people in Medieval than it is in Sims 3). I really like those characters in the other game lol. They’re indeed cartoony yet in a realistic way, if that makes sense. They make me laugh (Sims in 4 I’m sorry to say do not).
  • The characters of Sea of Thieves are quite stylized. Even so, they have nice facial expressions and the movements are good.

I've never played Medieval. The faces are excellent. There's a lot of character and individuality to them. So long as once they're animated, they don't become overly exaggerated. The over-exaggeration of expressions in TS4 annoys me at times. Once I leave CAS, the characters often don't look as they did when I first created them. That's why, most of the time, I prefer to use poses to convey emotion rather than to use the stock facial expressions and body language.
  • Eco is another game too which looks interesting. It is actually being used in school to teach students about environmental effects.

Farm Together is what I have been playing a lot of with fellow Simmers. More of a farming simulator game, but still can have multiple homes to decorate in and just a chill game to play too. Like the Sims it does have DLC but it is actually cheaper to buy them bundled and the DLC is under $5 each.

I guess preferences I like sims 3 designs better than 4.The Sims midlevel look awesome. As for your other point it's too early to tell what the graphics are like.

    Yep.

I really don't understand the focus on the art style of a game that is so early in development. In some early screenshots, TS4's graphics, art style, and UI were a lot different (worse) than what the game launched with. In other shots, the game looked better. For example, does anyone remember earlier shots of TS4 which included individual blades of grass? The game released with a muddy, flat texture instead. Things can change.

At this point, I hope that Masse keeps his focus on mechanics and gameplay. Once that's nailed down, the art style can be improved or completely changed.

Oh I asked about that. It was explained to me by the Gurus that was Sims 4 test set in an Unity engine. So yeah I guess even Sims 4 looks better with Unity too. I loved seeing the pictures of the Sims in Unity too.

I'm just wondering if characters will have the same animations and the objects will change. Like dressers, beds, easels, counters. I've never used any height slider mods so curious to know how that would work.

Yes, that’s true, the object would have to react... Well, it would be great if it were possible but maybe not.
