I can see why it's a flightless bird. Take a look at the crooked, sheared wing on the bottom picture. Birds cannot fly, except downward, when their wings are clipped. Beautiful coloring, nonetheless. Of course, this is said with tongue held firmly in cheek. I can also see there is not 'shoulder' or upper wing.
