I feel like exercise bikes and free weights should have come with Lovestruck.

It's fine. Like I said before, it looks like it has a lot of stuff I'd love for my game. But it's basically a bunch of small features I like, rather than big, cohesive themes. I like the summer camp idea (though I still maintain this is just an upsold OR refresh), but I don't care about the exercise getaway, which feels like a glorified trip to the gym. The competition/challenge thing could be cool (though I can see it flopping due to poor implementation lel), but if I had the choice, I'd just get a game pack with just the summer camp stuff on its own.
Some other thoughts
- The geyser. I'm guessing it's more set-dressing. Maybe sims can view it or take a selfie that won't show up in-game because it's just a selfie-taking animation. Like it's neat and pretty and all. But when nearly EVERY world is 95% set dressing, "neat and pretty" don't cut it for me.
- I saw a minifridge.
- The clothes are very generic tbh. The hairs are unique, nothing exciting but at least they don't feel like stuff we've seen before.
- I see Voidcritters game on console. Which is weird since most Pokemon games are on handhelds, and what we see on-screen is clearly based on the Gen 3 handheld games. But Voidcritters doesn't have to follow Pokemon 1-to-1. And making a DS/3DS/Switch knock-off item might be too much right now. I'm always up for more Voidcritters in the game, so w/e, I'll take it.
- Oh look, an activity table reskin.
- I prefer the imaginary friend design from Sims 3, but I appreciate how ugly and rancid these ones look. I hope they can become proper playable sims. I also love that they can have different personalities, including the option to be evil.
- Love the modular playgrounds. I'm worried it'll be a routing mess. But other than that, it looks real fun.
- I like that animation with the box.
- I'm not sure what "Create and Customize Venues" is supposed to mean. We can already do that. I'll wait for more follow-up info on it, but this sounds a lot like small businesses. Except this time you can schedule activities to certain times, and also you don't need someone to own the lot. But so far it looks like a repeat of what we already have, just tweaked a lil.
- I noticed you didn't use rounded walls for the pancake build, Maxis.
- The challenges thing is so weird and only fits the pack's theme in the loosest of sense. It's a cool feature, but it really feels like it's there because the other two ideas weren't enough to stand on their own for an EP.
- Etymology, Papercraft, Diving and Archery sound very interesting, but what do they actually do? I hope they have enough content to justify making them skills, instead of regular interactions. I like skills, but not when they feel like empty filler. Like with Diving - will it be about diving in any body of water and grabbing cool things from the bottom, ala the stuff we had in Island Living? Or is it all about how you jump off a diving board and sometimes do a flip?
- UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH festivals are back. It's been 9 years since City Living, and they've only gotten worse over time. I have no hope for these.
- I like how one of the website posts has "Conditions and restrictions apply. Visit link for details." Only the link is to the page you're already on. It doesn't even scroll to the part it's referencing, it's just liking to itself in general.
- So, I'm confused about these itineraries. The Getaway Planner sounds like Create-a-Date, just with activities for a lot. Or maybe they're just timed phases. It sounds like you can already just do things on your own, this is just making it "official." Again, hoping for more info later on. But I wouldn't be surprised it they're completely unnecessary and something you can just not bother with.
- All that said, it could be fun if it's not limited to getaways. I'd love to make a community center and have scheduled classes there.
- Formative Moments and Childhood Sentiments sound good in theory, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're yet another personality mechanic that doesn't actually do anything substantial. And I REALLY hope they're not going to be more Simology panel bloat.
- How much do you want to bet Nigel is has a crush on Raheel? I get that vibe from Nigel. If he is, I'd say he picked right, because adult Toshie looks like a randomized townie with that outfit.

Can't wait to see everyone's summer camp horror stories.

What I like:
- Diving boards
- Water slides
- Customisable playgrounds
- Spinning classes and exercise bikes and weights
- In the ground hot tub
- More games for kids to do together, like hide and seek and rock-paper-scissors
What worries me:
- Hotels aren't mentioned at all
- The "getaways" seems to be locked to certain types (summer camp, health trip, love)
- The "customizable getaways" - does that mean that only those lots in that world can be used?
- Are there people actually living in this world or is it just a vacation world? How small is it?
- This world is NZ but is there any specifically New Zealand or Maori content at all? or is it all generic?

This pack seems more like hotel/resorts as a "getaway" lifestyle pack, but hopefully that means that hotels/resorts as a business pack still might be a future pack (but we might not see it for quite some time, maybe even up to years).
I completely understand the concerns that it might just be niche "children's summer camp", "health/wellness retreat", and "singles vacation/romance elimination challenge". So what does this mean only children get to go to summer camp? or is it the whole family?, singles vacation means no pre-existing couples/relationships? and the rest lumped into health/wellness resort? We will just have to see.
Custom getaways makes me think schedule time slotted itinerary activities, where if you schedule a Sim, they will leave to the activity like an active job career (they can go on their own or you can direct) for the allotted time you schedule (with time to go/arrive) and hopefully it will gather NPCs there as well. But I am highly speculating just from the shown timestamps in the trailer.

The reveal trailer really showed a lot of things to be excited about. Looking forward to the game play trailer.
Some people may think it is too soon to release another pack but I do not. I did not buy the last EP because that is not my playstyle. So, I'm happy the team is releasing Adventure Awaits EP sooner rather than later.
What is the issue about this doll for some? 🤣 I've always wanted a bigger doll for my child Sims.
Adorable 😂

I hope you enjoy the doll.
If you have ever played with an imaginary friend to the end ... doll to real life adult, then you will understand the urgency in making them real and setting them free...outside of your main save.
These dolls will do some permanent damage in your game if you let them...That's why I Love them and Hate them all at once.
They Bad A** They don't die...Ever.😉

This will be my first experience having such a doll in the game. On the EA website for the pack it states:
Adventure Starts at Childhood
......Choose from four different Imaginary Friend dolls and four different personalities: Goofball, Competitive, Creative, and Evil. These personalities will affect the activities they suggest, so keep those smoke detectors handy!
Depending on which doll you select, the outcome should be different since they all have different personalities.
One of the people who made the lots said that they created a vacation rental.
