The Sims 4 Business and Hobbies Apartments on top of Shops

There is more info on simscommunity.info. It says you can run businesses from your home lot. However, it doesn't specify if residential rentals are included in venue types. 

I believe they will be different features. These new small businesses seems to be possible on a new lot category, Small Business Venue. The For Rent units had their own lot category (Residential Rental?). I do not expect them to get merged, as hey are the selling point of twoi different packs, but also because the system of For Rent was quite bugged for many, so implemening it with a new pack would probably be rather risky...

The B&H apartments is not really a thing. The mechanisme is there only to separate your household's domain from the public domain (store), in oder to avoid customers and employees occupying your private rooms. I think you can have just one household on the lot, not multiple rental units.

This would make me enable For Rent in my game. Cross pack compatibility is a necessity with this 10 yr old engine.

There is cross pack compatibility with what seems like most packs as on the website they showed some examples of what you could do with the more packs you have.

With the rental lots I don't know if they would do as it just depends how they code and work the new ep for bills etc but if you can do a house/apartment on the same lot I wouldn't see why they couldn't code it to work for rentals.

Probably be more information on everything when the gameplay trailer comes out and they can answer more questions. As the trailer is still normally a "teaser". Since you can do more with other packs they might say what it can and can't work with.

Have seen a lot of videos where people are disappointed in only 2 hobbies but they might do a few base game ones maybe probably not it's Sims haha. 

Hopefully it's not buggy and if so they fix it fast as there are packs still buggy to this day and if this is the last Sims they need to start to fix the bugs instead of making new ones.

I'm excited for this EP but if they made us choose for more packs or fix the current ones for a while id pick that.

Hopefully the gameplay video will show more and everyone will know what to expect I suppose but will be good to finally be able to have a bakery and live upstairs for sure as well as tattoos seeing as that is their big selling point for it atm along with the lots haha.

I also wondered if this is possible . I really hope it is as part of cross pack option . But I doubt it . I expect it to be in the list of possible lots. I think you have to choose between a regular house , a house with shop (B&H) or multiple houses (for rent ) tiny house (tiny living ) or haunted house (paranormal ) . I hope the sims team proves me wrong and does offer the possibility . 

Itd be cool if it did work with FR, imagine rentals on top, businesses on the bottom like IRL, but I wouldnt keep my hopes up....for one, they appear to be different lot types and two it probly be a buggy mess....

we only need a multi community places in 1 lot and everything will be complete

hopefully after a multi community places in 1 lot we get a option we can add as much things as possible so everything will be complete
it will be so cool for a storyline, they can do this in the future with the cross-pack option (hopefully)
