I also tested out turning a ranch into a small business. I was hoping for a riding school, or even just a "come ride with me" or "let's train together" type thing but sadly saw no horse-riding-related events for businesses. So instead, I opened the farm up for "farm life experience" sort of like a petting zoo type thing, and sold milk, eggs, and baked goods. The Chef Hustle table worked well for the baked goods, and people were flocking to the place. Even a little ghost child showed up! 😄 All the livestock got well tended to by the visitors so my Sims didn't have to do anything to keep them happy except keep feeders full. No need for a ranch hand with this crowd!The downside to the farm experience was that it was winter and NOBODY would put on their winter clothes except my Sims. Even the employee they hired kept running around in his everyday clothes. 😬 One customer froze to death. My Sim was running around small-talking everyone into showing her their cold weather clothes, but that was exhausting. Maybe I'll set out some Dining Out heaters and see if that helps. I did put a fire pit near the horse pasture, but no one used it, probably because it wasn't an activity on the business list. The new display unit also worked great for selling milk and eggs autonomously while the business was open. And I tested a little standing shelf that auto sold things. It sold little animal figurines, but I couldn't seem to restock it without going back into B/B. I tried putting wool on the shelf instead, but it didn't sell. Have to play around with it more.I also tried to put a bag of manure on the shelf, figuring it was a farm and all, why not sell fertilizer, but it...um...returned to its original form and was not very attractive on display. 🤣 That's when I swapped it for sheep's wool, which so far hasn't sold either.

Today is a very special day for Abigail Hamby......The opening of her new store Candy Lane Sweet Treats! 🤩Customers came from far and wide to check out the new confectionery.It soon became clear to Abigail that she was not going to be able to handle the running of the store and replenishing of stock on her own, so she advertised for an employee. 'Just don't burn the sugar, and you'll be fine!'While Xavier Drew may not be the most apt behind a stove (or candy maker) he does look sweet in pink. 😉Abigail decided to venture out and explore the town that weekend - while she loves her job, it's nice to have some time to not think about work!She decided to try her hand at pottery by signing up to an evening class.She decided to glaze her masterpiece in, you guessed it, pink - it fits into the décor of her apartment rather nicely! 💗As Abigail's renown as a master confectioner grew, she started receiving invitations to host her own cooking classes.Even Grandma Hattie herself decided to listen in for some tips. 😀And of course Xavier was there to support Abigail. 'Well done, Professor Hamby.'😊Xavier requested a very special inking for a very special someone...'So, what d'ya think?''Oh Xavier, seagulls - my favourite animals! But now I've found where I truly belong, I'll never have to fly away again.' 💖And, just as Abigail's business grew, so did her relationship with Zavier. 😍I have a feeling this is just the start of their story... 😘

I am working on my Dutch houses. I am Dutch myself, and live in The Netherlands, being able to make houses just like I have around me in my own town is such a blast!! To the left is the Apothecary, the middle house will host pottery workshops and to the right is the Pottery studio and store. To the far right two private houses.I am absolutely in love with this expansion, have not been this enchanted with The Sims for years, and I haven't even started actual gameplay yet! I've never shared any creations on the Gallery before, but I might consider sharing this one when it's finished. Great job EA! Really well done thank you!

My Community Center practically runs itself. With video games, basketball, food, computers and art corner, plus showers and bunk bed room, so customers don't leave when they get tired. In winter there's an ice skating rink and in the summer I switch it out for a pool. I had to put in 2 kiosks at the door because customers "line up" outside, sometimes up to 12 people. They were freezing in winter, since most show up in shorts and t-shirts. When it's really cold out the center doesn't open, since Sims freeze in the back yard playing basketball. Also, I saw another simmer post that they used the portable bathrooms, so I put one in the back yard. My Sim doesn't have to clean or repair it, love it! My family went from $700,000 to $950,000. In generation #2, my Sim won $1,000,000 in the lottery. Now in generation #12 they're almost there again.

Your Community Centre is very great! 🙂 Very nice design and layout, with many activities for sims to enjoy doing. It is a great idea to have an ice rink for Winter then change it to a pool in Summer. The reading and music area is lovely and very nice kids play and activities area. The computer study desks nooks are great and sims would have fun playing the video games. Very nice bunk beds and showers room. Congratulations to your sims family on the increase of their household funds! 🙂

mlnov39your community centre looks great. The bunk beds are a useful addition. What kind of activities have you set for customers? Does the sims autonomy work well with so many objects to interact with?

Just opened my first home business... mum was an artist previously so is now giving classes, lectures and mentoring on painting.
Meanwhile, her daughter (who was a bit of a rebel in her teens) is doing tattoos in another room.
I have to say, I found it a little boring and repetitive.
Does anyone have a business that is interesting to play?
