Sims 2 had cars with no open world and we did a lot I just hope they implement Sims 3 stuff like teach teens to drive instead of them already knowing in Sims 2 also can we please have wash car option?
TS2 is also a game from 2004 while the TS4 is a game from 2014 and TS3 is factually the most advanced Sims game from 2009. No excuses. This is exactly a part of the reason why TS4 is the way it is. When consumers accept mediocre, that's exactly what they will continue to get. No point in going above and beyond for those who will accept old technology and buy it at a high price.
Truth is, nothing can be done with TS4 in terms of surpassing TS3 or even TS2 in my opinion. It was doomed during its conception phase and will never be a real The Sims sequel. Why even name the game The Sims 4? But I didn't fall for that obvious deception.
Well in my opinion Sims 2 did have more to do with a vehicle then Sims 3 all we did in Sims 3 was drive around Sims 2 we sat in the car listen to music, make out and woohoo and an alarm on your car also in Sims 2 we restored a car but like I said I would also to teach the teens to drive like the Sims 3 offered and wash the car that is something we never did in any game. Now sorry but in Sims 4 we don't have open world and it seems like nothing will change that but trying to say cars won't work because no open world Nah it can work cars were awesome in Sims 2 even if it was back in 2004.
Yes, it is true that TS2 cars are far more in depth than any Sims game to date and it is a shame they didn't do so much more in TS3. Like I've mentioned somewhere previously, it's unfortunate to not have taken a full advantage of the open world. However, there are also technology restraints as how they wanted to do the open world and had to sacrifice some things for either performance and/or limitation reasons. Or so the SimGuru said which that particular thing I believe because TS3 is the only Sims game that can be called a true life simulator as can be taxing on the CPU/GPU. The game does actually simulate, not imitate like TS/TS2/TS4. One lot/area imitating life vs Open world simulating all Sims universally. Though the reason the SimGuru gave was because then garage placement couldn't be anywhere on the lot and they knew how creative the building community is. Plus, Sims would possibly have a ridiculous amount of routing errors because they can't get to the vehicle. Again, a whole open world simulating Sims...I would agree with that decision.
Which is why game sequels are supposed to be an improved and advanced version of the last foundation/game engine. To add to what couldn't be done, not subtract from it. I'm not going to pay for expensive retrogression that chops up gameplay into small sized and mostly insignificant gaming experiences that still adds up to nothing really impressive compared to TS2 or TS3. Those games actually followed a very important pattern of building a growing foundation and also started out the way it was meant to be played...as a people/life simulator.
And where did I say cars won't work in TS4? It would be ever so kind for some people to actually read and comprehend than just assume what they think I am saying. It's obvious the whole point of my feedback is to point out TS4 has gone backwards to 2004 (2000 too) instead of using the fullest potential the franchise and fans deserve. But apparently some fans don't care and accept whatever. I don't care, it's not me. The Sims future been dead since 2014.
I honestly don't understand how anyone could be so excited over cars or any vehicles and then a loading screen. It was cool in TS2 because that was a huge improvement over TS and never been done before, therefore new.
While I do prefer TS2 in-depth cars with animations and interactions, I also prefer making full use of vehicles in an open world setting. So I would want both and not one or other. Fortunately, TS3 has so much to offer it's not that big of a deal to me and can be easily overlooked. Plus, at the very least the store team was nice enough to create a vehicle and bring back some of the animations/interactions from TS2.
