For some reason I find this game pack a rip off to get money out of it even tho The Sims 4 Dine Out does sound like an interesting game pack but why would it not be in the sims 4 get to work?

The Gp sounds like a lot of fun to me. I honestly cannot wait until we hear more info about it.As far as it being included in GTW, no, just no. I think they could've been in Get Together as well, especially since dining out is a pretty social thing to do and could've had things like groups eating together. Would've made the EP feel a bit more fuller to me, but instead we just got the ability to order food from bars/cafes. Maybe they held off so that they could be ownable in their separate thing.

Also I expect restaurants will use a system different from the GTW retail system. I'm particularly hoping that restaurants will function like bars and spas i.e. That they will function even if they are not actively owned by anyone (as opposed to retail stores).

I do think this could have/should have been in GTW but who knows how fleshed out it would have been (or how much it's going to be now for that matter.) I think both EPS we have gotten have been rather undercooked, so to speak.

I can imagine my restaurant going out of business as the employees are to busy dancing in a group or watch TV rather than. Interacting with customers. :) Hope they bring back the Checkout/till.

All the waiters are too busy socializing and forming groups to wait on actual paying customers. Oh what, that sometimes happens in real life too... :o

Could have been, but given how the retail system is lacking in some detailed ways, I'm not mad they didn't. Hopefully with a whole pack dedicated to them they will be more fleshed out than retail. :smile:

I think we need more details. If it includes likes/dislikes, attraction system, several game play items, etc. Then I'm happy to pay for it in a game pack. If it's set up like the stores, and that's it-- then yeah, could have been included in GTW.

I do agree it should have been in GTW (I was one of those people who expected restaurants to be in it when GTW was announced.) But I guess the Gurus at that time just wanted a retail based system and not a restaurant system. So maybe they just wanted to split them up and flesh restaurants out.
