Hi SimGuruHydra! I LOVE Sims 4! I'm having lots of fun playing and I love the new emotions system. Very innovative and intricately designed - keeps me on my toes. I played for 8 hrs. today with only a short break for dinner. I am pleased to find that there's a lot more here than first meets the eye.
The emotions are my favorite thing. I knew they would be. This feature really rounds out Sims' personalities and makes them much more interesting and meaningful to play. Sims used to just cover their ears when they heard bad musicians. Now they get tense and irritable and their plumbbob turns yellow. Lol. Yet, the bad moods can be simple to rectify if you know how. I had a gloomy Sim that was sad, but she quickly snapped out of it when her friend told her a joke about bananas and gave her a hug autonomously. Too bad it didn't last long, as Miss Gloom and Doom then caught on fire when she tried to cook scrambled eggs for the first time. No Reaper though, she made it through okay, but just barely! :p All the new animations are refreshing and hilarious! I also like the variety of goals and achievements we can work toward.
I did have to switch over to the Sims 3 camera controls, after giving the Sims 4 one an honest try. It felt awkward, so I'm glad there was an alternative. For now, I have no real gripes or suggestions - I'm just enjoying this game immensely.
