Things I like:
How the mood changes desires and abilities.
How much more screen space I have without all the panels.
How much more control I have over the sim's appearance.
Things I don't like:
-Sims are COMICALLY disproportionate to the world around them. They are tiny little creatures who are half the size of the furniture and tools around them. Even the "short" doors seem far too large for the amount of space each sim requires.
-This game feels more like Sims2... or even Sims1 than some new high-tech innovation.
-There are too many maps and not enough integration. I loved being able to explore the whole town in map view in Sims3, everything seemed connected. Sims4 is a bunch of load screens. I understand that developers wanted things to look cooler in detail so they had to cut the world to make gameplay faster but honestly, it just looks cheesy and overly sparkly. It's the same problem I had with Sims Medieval, to which I can see too many similarities. It makes gameplay very annoying.
-I am now required to be logged in to Origin to play. I bought the discs so I wouldn't have to do this.
-I have to deselect a box that sends my usage info to EA. It's intrusive.
-While traveling between towns is a great addition, the lack of integration of the town makes this new feature seem pointless. It's just another map, and another loading screen I have to sit through.
Overall, I can't believe I spent money I don't have on a new computer for this. I'm so disappointed.
