Ok I gave sims 4 a try and I have to say it has good bones but no meat. I can see that the game could be great but it is just not there yet for me.
I spend 11 hours of game play and I must say that it looks fresh and nice. The sims emotions was a cute touch and some of the animation that went along with that was great. I love how the sims interact with each other and how you can really tell when two sims are in love. The pregnancy also was great my sim was in labor for two days before she went to the hospital to have the baby although husband never reacted to sim being in labor or birth of the child. The game ran smooth and the loading screens was fairly quick although it did crash once for me. I love the way the babies look and move it was such a shame that they are connected to bassinets. I didn't enjoy any of the community lots except for 1 park was pretty and I had fun there. I played most of the time on my home lot and that is not what I like to do when playing the sims. The world seemed very small to me maybe I am spoiled with the Sims 3 and the massive stuff you could do. I do understand this is a base game but so many things I love from the sims is missing a big one is the toddlers and family tree. I played as far as my baby aging straight to a child and then decided I will wait for the whole game before I give it a go anymore. I am glad that orgin offers the refund. I felt like I was playing a demo not a full game. I will get sims 4 when they put in the toddlers and family stuff and more community lots but it is back to the sims 3 for me. Usually when the base game comes out I move on to the new when sims 3 came out I never looked back to the sims 2 but to much was missing and sims 3 was to great for me to move on at this time.
