Things I like:
- Create A Sims is definitely improved upon from TS3, in terms of more detailed customization.
- Ease of modifying built houses.
- Malleable wall heights.
- More size options for terrain painting.
- Emotions makes game play more interesting.
Things I dislike:
- Lack of ability to customize coloration of outfits and items.
- (Not sure if it's just me or the game) Cannot rotate items using the mouse.
- Cannot tilt camera angle using the mouse.
- Closed world like the original The Sims.
- Limited lifetime wishes.
Overall...
As AbigailLouise1998 has said, the Sims 4 is basically the Sims 1 in HD with personality and emotions. Game play has been stripped to the basics that, in my opinion, cannot even compete with the original Sims base game. After much anticipation for the release of the Sims 4, finally getting play the game made me realize what a COMPLETE LET DOWN the game has been. Until many of the MISSING FUNCTIONALITY of the previous versions are available in the Sims 4, I reckon I'll be sticking to the Sims 3.
