I didn't play the demo, so playing the real game today for the first time. First thing I had to do was set all my graphics manually to ultra or high. I have a very high end gaming computer. This is the first time a game offered me the lowest graphic quality settings instead of picking what it is actually capable of.
Unfortunately, even at high, unless I am extremely zoomed in, graphics seem watery/blurry. No sharpness, no detail. Blobby.
I was a pattern maker, loved to build and design. No CAST, unhappy pattern maker.
Lots are TOO small. To me it feels like the whole neighborhood fits into a micro mall parking lot.
Interaction with other sims is less forced, I don't have to constantly tell my sim to interact.
When I play a new game for the first time (including all the other sims releases) I usually put aside and spend all day playing and experimenting. I shut the game down after four hours and came to the forums to see how others feel. Currently have no urge to return.
Just read Noodlesandme's post. 100% agreement.
