OK,I'm 60 years old and a closeted architect. I read in one of these post the comparison between complex doll house kit ( Sims3) and Fisher Price (Sims4). That's the NAIL ON THE HEAD! I was coming up with Frank Loyd Wright like builds and homes. I just got the hang of hill side construction, into the hill constructions, cantilevering my homes and beach side dock homes,(I know that came much later). BUT,this version of Sims has nothing to offer me. No customizing, textures, you don't even have any decent wood textures. I did find one rock tile I do really like. Some one who designs and creates really needs the ability to turn and rotate the work at hand to see how it is going.
YOU have that when you work on these things. You wouldn't settle for an Up-Down view only. Sims3 had it. What happened? Are we going to have to pay for that?
The textures and lack of color wheel really suck. Maybe EA/Maxis should come up with and adult version of Sims and leave the Fisher Price approach to the your other demographic.
There is a Lady in Europe I only know as Eddie. Her site is wonderful. Her creations are art. I like to think My creations with Sims3 are in a minor way,ART. But this Sims4 game, there is no way one can approach what one could do in Sims 3.
More lots in varying sizes and place able in and expanded single would?
color wheels
better textures
Terrain adjustments tool
The furnishing a very Fisher Price
Tilt and turn camera!!!!
MORE PLANTS and TREES
And why can't we see the sky from Ground level?
I really miss hitting the TOWN thingy and zooming out and seeing the entire town in one smooth move and picking a different size lot or place an empty lot where I want it so I can start a new project.
This game holds nothing for me.
I'll wait and see,but if you Brains can fix this travesty for $80. I will not be using it. I'll stick with S3.
And that picture book! I was hoping for a book explaining this game like the one I bought separately for S3.
Mine and many of your Customers expectations for an improved and braudly expanded world for Simmer's and creators a like who really enjoy the experiences in Sims has not been met.
This is my last post on this subject and I am will be watching and hoping for something from EA/MAXIS.
Still waiting for a drive way to park my Bentley.
