LONNNGGGG time Simmer and totally appreciate you asking for feedback!
The Good...
1. I actually really like many of the changes you made to the CAS. I always felt like Zodiac, favorite food, favorite color, favorite music were underutilized given they had little effect on game play/Sim personality.
2. Load time is much faster.
3. I love that they can "multi-task" (converse while doing some of the mundane projects).
4. There are some really great tweaks you made to the amount of time is required to clean, number of times bills arrive, etc. The balance is MUCH better.
5. The expressions on the Sims' faces are really great.
6. The building tools are vastly improved.
7. It is obvious that a LOT attention was paid to the overall game mechanics.
The Bad...
1. The world and the content seem to be MUCH smaller every base game iteration. (This seems smaller than Sims 3 base game which seemed smaller than Sims 2...) I realize that y'all make a whole lot of money on the stuff packs, the expansions, and the exclusive items sold on your site but this is almost mercenary. At $70, I frankly feel a bit gypped.
2. The gallery feature is not ideal and makes sharing difficult. I *liked* being able to provide a direct link to the object, household, Sim, lot. Maybe it's there but if it is...it's not intuitive.
3. The customization features are very disappointing. I miss being able to make multicolor hair in the hue I want. I miss playing with textures. I'm guessing this was done away with in part due to performance issues but it is still very disappointing.
4. I feel like a lot of the features like customization that I loved have been either eliminated or dumbed down.
The Ambivalent...
1. I was never a terribly big fan of the amount of toddler time there was in previous iterations and thought there was too much time devoted to it. But honestly, it didn't really matter enough for me to care about it one way or another.
2. While I do love the third party custom content, it would really be nice if there were some way to verify how it will perform in the game. While some of the performance issues were due to pack after expansion after pack after expansion being installed, I know the custom content had a large impact as well. I know it's hard for y'all to police that and it is a HUGE part of the Sims experience so it's a quibble but a minor one for me.
3. I'm not entirely sure why you changed some of the elements of the interface from the previous version. It does throw us "old timers" for a bit of a loop. Not hard to learn...just not entirely sure they were necessary.
